This blog was set up to showcase the geological features of Denmark as part of a class with Monterey Peninsula College in Monterey, California, USA.  Each of us chose a country to showcase, and if you are wondering why I chose Denmark, please read on...

I have been interested in genealogy studies for quite some time.  I knew that my family was of European descent, and knew that I had ancestors in England and Italy/Sicily.  That was all I knew up until about 3 years ago.  Then my kids were assigned a family tree project.  I decided at that time that I would try to provide them with more information.  That prompted me to reach out to likeminded family members, and one of them suggested that I set up an account with the Mormon Church.  My mind was blown when I saw how much information was there regarding my mother's side of the family!  I could not believe how many generations back the records went and I was pleased to learn that I am only three generations removed from Denmark.  I have to admit that I know very little about Denmark, so I was excited when our Geology course assignment required us to choose a country.  I decided to seize this opportunity to learn more about the country of my ancestors.
